Major Trails:
East Inlet Trail:
- This trail begins near the East Inlet of Grand Lake,
hence the name. The trail climbs into remote wilderness,
and until Lake Verna, it is well maintained. A faint
trail from Lake Verna leads to Boulder/Grand Pass, and
Wild Basin.
- From this trail you can climb the following mountains: Mount Cairns, Mount Craig.
- From this trail you can visit the following: Adams Falls, Fifth Lake, Fourth Lake, Lone Pine Lake, Paradise Park, Spirit Lake, Ten Lake Park, Lake Verna.
Lake Nanita Trail:
North Inlet Trail:
Roaring Fork Trail:
- Though the bulk of this trail lies outside of the Park,
the trail offers access to many peaks on the southern
Park boundary.
- From this trail you can climb the following mountains: Mount Adams, Twin Peaks, Watanga Mountain.
- From this trail you can visit the following: Adams Lake.
Shadow Mountain Trail:
- From the trailhead, hikers have a choice of which
direction to take. The northern fork heads up Shadow
Mountain, to a historic fire lookout near the summit. The
southern fork follows the Colorado River, and eventually
ends at the Roaring Fork trailhead.
- From this trail you can climb the following mountains: Mount Acoma, Mount Bryant, Shadow Mountain.
- From this trail you can visit the following: Shadow Mountain Fire Lookout.
