Here are some thoughts from the Westcliffe community as expressed by a single individual who is an Electrical Engineer:
"Westcliffe
should be a sanctuary of quietness, peace, and renewal. I think
at
first glance that telecommunications would help with this.
Living in Westcliffe is difficult - utilities are marginal, the
weather can be
harsh, etc., but one develops an attitude and competence of
overcoming problems, and not changing your environment to
accomodate "easy living".
Westcliffe is very unique and is a place for very unique people.
People who
want the
renewing nature of Westcliffe, but don't want to change it
to be a place like every place else.
So far I believe good telecommunications would bring these kind
of people.
Also consider not only a permanent scientific reasearch
community, but a permanent engineering community. Some of the
people
already hear are very skilled and experienced engineers!
You can take the engineers out of the city, but your can't
stop them from being engineers."
Perhaps these thoughts reflect the culture of your Community or perhaps some other Vision would be more appropriate. This entire strategic plan encourages Level 5 innovation to take place in your Community. Level 5 innovation is copying other peoples Good Ideas as your own to introduce positive changes that reflect your Community's cultural heritage.
